“ Trying some official deep dish pizza and the pizza was good. We got a meat one and a cheesy pesto individual size pizza- perfect size. The crust was more like pie crust or a biscuit, dry, crispy, and not my favorite kind of crust. Very good though, ambiance was fun pizzeria vibe, football games going, and good Italian beef sandwiche. Wonderful waitress too. ”

We had a thin crust pizza "Windy city works chicago thin crust "and were very pleased with the taste, we took two smaller than 10inch, but if you have a big appetite you can order a 16inch...the staff is friendly, the music is varied mainstream and not too noisy for a pizzeria. After failing to secure a reservation at one of the top rated pizza places my wife talked me into going here just a block away from our hotel. I was reluctant with never hearing of this place but decided to give it a try. The building looked historic with skyscrapers built all around it. We walked down the steps and into the pub for bar seating. Bartender was informative and gave us a brief history of the building and business. We ordered a small pepperoni and sausage deep dish. The pizza was solid starting with a flavorful crust. The sauce was great with a lot of tomato flavor and a bit of heat. The sausage was the star and the pepperoni was also good. This was honestly the best deep dish we had in Chicago and it wasn't even on our radar. It hit all 3 requirements of crust, sauce and cheese. Decent tap list with some local options on Draft. ”
